On Thursday, The Washington Post reported that multiple women have accused Alabama Republican senatorial candidate Judge Roy Moore of having sexually propositioned them when they were teenagers in the late 1970s, while Moore was in his 30s. One woman claims that in 1978, Moore kissed her when she was 14 years old and he was 32.

Moore has denied the allegations, saying, “These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and The Washington Post on this campaign.”

Since then, several GOP law makers have told Moore to step aside. Mitt Romney stated that “innocent until proven guilty” is for a courtroom, and we’re not in one. Moore should step down.

There’s one key element missing from this debate, which is NOT whether the allegations are true.

The real issue is why these allegations are landing NOW, after 30 years, after the primary election, and in the 11th hour of a general election.

Why should it matter? How heartless are we to not immediately believe these reports and condemn Moore, and basically throw the election to the Democrats?

Because the Democrats play this game ALL. THE. TIME.

History Repeats Itself

Remember Reagan as senile in office? (Yeah, debunked but who cares)

Remember Gingrich? No, nobody does.  But he left the House speakership over charges that were later proven false.

But those are ancient history, right?  No, Gingrich was hit with false sexual allegations during the primary in 2012, forcing him to drop in the polls and lose to Mitt Romney.

Then how about Mitt Romney, alleged the tax evading felon, reported from Harry Reid on the senate floor? How about his putting women in binders and killing his dog or something, and apparently he was a bully in high school (Yeah, thank God we got for more years of that narcissist blowhard Obama, huh?)

How about true reports of Trump grabbing women’s privates from a conversation he had with Billy Bush. That gem lay hidden for over 20 years and miraculously surfaced AFTER Trump won the GOP primary, and in time to damage him in the general election. It was a shame it couldn’t have surfaced earlier for other (better) candidates like Ted Cruz from gaining ground.

And still, Moore.

GOP Failed Response

This isn’t a call for legislative purity, or to overlook or excuse sexual misconduct by flawed candidates.  If Judge Moore did it, the jerk should be replaced, but it should be done at a time of OUR choosing, that the DNC smear machine that includes the Washington Post.

Let’s remember that we impeached Clinton and he didn’t leave office. Today’s DNC candidates will deny and cry “vast right-wing conspiracy” all the way to the polls. They have NO problems destroying lives with false accusations – BECAUSE they know that they win elections.

Remember, when Harry Reid, after, when confronted with his false accusations against Mitt Romney, Harry Reid said:

“Well, they can call it whatever they want… Romney didn’t win, did he?”

All to say, it’s disgusting that the GOP continually FAILS to recall history. For a movement focused on CONSERVING history, Conservatives find it hard to remember how they are continually treated.

On the Judge Moore controversy, Alabama State Auditor Jim Zeigler, responded:

“Take the Bible: Zachariah and Elizabeth for instance. Zachariah was extremely old to marry Elizabeth and they became the parents of John the Baptist. Also take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus. There’s just nothing immoral or illegal here. Maybe just a little bit unusual.”

Alabama GOP, really?  We’re going with an age-of-consent and cultural differences argument?

Forget the whole “emasculate conception” component that makes this Biblical reference sound ignorant. We shouldn’t be citing the Bible in a modern political argument over sexual assaults.

That is without a doubt the most brainless response I’ve heard since the last GOP crap show back-peddle. (Todd Akin, anyone?)

Seriously, the GOP has to get better at this game.

Strategic Response

Instead of a gasp of shock and denunciation of our candidates in peril, instead of lame, gap-toothed hillbilly Biblical comparisons, here’s a new mantra for the GOP:

In a rigged game, the one who plays by the rules is a sucker

Republican in Congress already know that the media is out to destroy them and the DNC will say anything to discredit them. Why can’t the GOP as a whole take this to heart and build a better response?  Do we need online courses?

All GOP candidates and congressmen should be unified, direct, and on offense for the progressive media.  Each one should say to camera:

“Until DEMOCRATS and the progressive media accept their culpability and responsibility for creating a culture of false accusations and apply even standards for their own candidates, we are not going on witch hunts for your amusement. Your party is full of corruptocrats, race agitators and perverts and you want us to throw elections over 11th hour accusations? Go screw yourselves. If true, you can try to impeach him once in office. Otherwise, we will replace him at a time of our choosing.”

Please, GOP, can you find it within yourselves to WIN first, before sacrificing yourselves on the cross Sal Alinsky erected for you?

We hope and pray every candidate is above reproach, worthy of the office to which they are applying. But even a clueless socialist like Bernie Sanders can tell you the DNC has rigged this game.

Yes, as the Bible says,  be innocent as doves – but also be wise as serpents!

Don’t be a sucker. Your opponents – including and especially the progressive media – want you to fail and will say ANYTHING to bring that about. Act accordingly.
